 Stuffing doesn’t have to be boring — not when you add some desi magic! This Indian-style bread stuffing blends the comforting texture of classic Thanksgiving bread cubes with the aroma of Indian spices. It’s vegetarian, easy to make, and pairs beautifully with both turkey and paneer roast.

🍳 Ingredients

  • 4 cups cubed day-old bread

  • 2 tbsp ghee or butter

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds

  • ½ tsp mustard seeds

  • 1 onion (chopped)

  • 1 carrot (diced)

  • ½ cup peas

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 cup vegetable broth


🔥 Steps

  1. Toast bread until lightly crisp; set aside.

  2. Temper spices: Heat ghee, add cumin & mustard seeds until they pop.

  3. Add veggies: Sauté onions, carrots, and peas until soft.

  4. Season: Add garam masala, chili powder, and salt.

  5. Mix & bake: Combine bread cubes, veggie mix, and broth. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 mins until golden.


💡 Tips

  • Add paneer cubes or nuts for texture.

  • Can be made vegan by swapping ghee for oil.
